Position : Predoctoral researcher contract for the training of predoctoral research personnel
associated with “Knowledge Generation” projects within the framework of the State Plan
for Scientific, Technical and Innovation Research 2021-2023; PID2023-152312OA-I00, InterGamp project (1 position).

The predoctoral researcher contract is part of the PID2023-152312OA-I00 project
of “Knowledge Generation” InterGamP “ Interdisciplinary approach towards decentralized and decarbonized electrochemical Green AmmoniaProduction ”. In line with
the interdisciplinary nature of the project, the predoctoral researcher will address
experimental and theoretical work related to renewable and distributed ammonia
generation.
The successful candidate is expected to perform the following tasks :

esearch activities related to the electrochemical synthesis of ammonia in
low-temperature cells, with emphasis on the synthesis and characterization
of electrocatalysts , as well as the study of their performance in electrolyzers.
Tasks to be developed:
—R
esearch activities related to the electrochemical synthesis of ammonia in
solid oxide cells, including the synthesis and characterization of electrodes,
electrolytes and electrochemical cells.
—R
esearch activities related to atomistic simulations to understand the thermodynamic and kinetic behavior of renewable ammonia generation.
—R
esearch activities related to techno-economic and environmental modelling
of ammonia generation technologies.
—P
articipation in innovation activities ; such as participation in the formulation
of new research objectives.
—P
articipation in communication and dissemination activities; such as: writing
scientific reports and articles (for example, 1 article per year in high-impact
journals), presentation of scientific results at national and international conferences.
